5. Roadkill Collector

Imagine in the midst of hot summer days having the grueling task of disposing of animals struck or killed by vehicles on the road aka roadkill. Left with not knowing how long the animal (or carcass) has been lying on the road, now baked so the stench faced with is strong enough to make one hurl all while playing "frogger" with oncoming traffic!

4. Farm Slurry Pit Cleaner

Most dairy farms have a large (slurry) pit the cattle manure is scrapped into. This is to keep a cleaner and more hygienic environment for the cattle. But let's be real. Eventually, those pits need to be cleaned out and at times repaired. Decomposition of the sludge generates gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and methane. So this presents obvious risks. But sometimes to make it number 1 you need to be in the business of number 2.

We love our oil field brothers and sisters. Oil and gas is one of North Dakota's largest industries and we are darned proud of it. But let's be real. These men and women are working in some of the most dangerous environments possible along with the harshest climates. Thank you for what you do. But we know that the majority of us can't work under those conditions.
