This is How You Dispose Your Old Christmas Tree
Now what do you do with your old Christmas tree now that the holiday is over. Depending on when you plan to dispose of your tree, some people will leave their tree and decorations up at least until after the New Year starts.
Regardless, at some point, you'll have to get rid of the tree.
We have the suggestions from various municipalities throughout the region according to KX-News on how and where to dispose of your old, live tree. (or dead tree)
All cities ask that you remove all tensile, decorations and lights. In other words, they only want the bare-naked tree.
Bismarck- leave your tree at the curb, next to your trash cans and it will be picked up on your normal trash day.
Dickinson- you are asked to bring your tree to the Solid Waste Disposal Facility at 3389 Energy Drive.
Minot- you are asked to bring your tree to the dumpster locations. On the east side of Oak Park, 1300 4th Ave-NW and at the corner of 16th St and 16th Ave SW.
Williston- you can drop your tree off at Rickard Elem School and at Western Star Complex and at the Public Works Department.
