Because of exceptional commitment to urban and community forestry resources,

54 communities from North Dakota earned the coveted designation of "Tree City USA" through the Arbor Day Foundation.

The four areas included maintaining a tree board or department, spending two dollars ($2) at least per capita on urban forestry, having a community tree ordinance, and celebrating Arbor Day.

The belief behind Tree City USA is that collaborative effort as such impacts North Dakota's state health, safety, and economy; thus will enhance the quality of life; and believe to make our cities and towns a more beautiful place to live, work and play.
