MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Minot's post office was closed for several hours after a sport utility vehicle crashed into the building.

The crash happened early Thursday, and the post office was shut down for much of the rest of the day. Customers were referred to branch locations in grocery stores. Mail route delivery wasn't affected.

The SUV caused heavy damage to the front of the building and the interior lobby. No one inside the post office was hurt. The condition of the SUV's driver wasn't known.
