Spring Training in 2 Weeks. Twins Projected Line-Up.
It's that time again, the most wonderful time of the year. Pitchers & catchers report to spring training and optimism fills the air. The Minnesota Twins made a splash in free agency this year signing their most expensive free agent ever. Josh Donaldson will make 92 million dollars in guaranteed money.
Here's who is expected to be in the starting line up for position players on opening day:
RF Max Kepler
SS Jorge Polanco
DH Nelson Cruz
3B Josh Donaldson
LF Eddie Rosario
C Mitch Garver
2B Luis Arraez
1B Miguel Sano
CF Byron Buxton
The Twins did not sign a big name pitcher in the off season and really doesn't surprise me a whole lot. Instead they added to the "bomb squad" and lets face it. Home Runs sell tickets, not strikeouts. Should be another fun season with the Twins right in the thick of another Central Division title.
So yes, winter is trending down. Twins pitchers and catchers report to Fort Myers, Fla., on Feb. 12th and position players get down there Feb. 17th. The Twins begin their exhibition season Feb. 21st with a match up against the University of Minnesota. We’re almost there, peeps! Go Twins!
