North Dakota’s Best Hole In The Wall Breakfast Joint

Breakfast joints in North Dakota.

We have a lot of good ones that's for sure.  I love my small-town cafes and restaurants that are famous for their breakfast.  Breakfast by the way is good anytime of day.  Mornings, lunchtime, and even dinner.

A few of my personal favorite "hole in the wall" breakfast joints include:

The Cedar Inn Family Restaurant-Devils Lake, North Dakota. 

This restaurant/cafe is located right off Highway 2 in Devils Lake.  I have fond memories of this place thanks to numerous early morning duck hunting trips when I was a boy.  I'm not sure what they do to their hashbrowns that make them better than any other hashbrowns you'll eat at a restaurant but they sure go down easy.

Krolls Diner-Mandan-Bismarck, North Dakota.

I don't think I've ever had bad eggs from a Krolls and that's saying something.  Always made to perfection.  I also love the atmosphere at Krolls, it just screams breakfast.

Grama Butterworks-Grand Forks, North Dakota.

If you love pancakes and waffles, this is your breakfast nirvana.  Some of the best I've ever had.  This joint closes at 2 pm, so this truly is a breakfast restaurant.

Little Cottage Cafe-Bismarck, North Dakota.

Great breakfast, but the BEST, and I mean best of the best when it comes to caramel rolls.  Even our listeners crowned Little Cottage caramel roll kings.  Read about that here.

And now, according to an article on Cheapism, this is the BEST hole-in-the-wall breakfast joint in all of North Dakota.

The title goes to the Country Rose Cafe in Dickinson, North Dakota.

The article goes on to say there are two things you must try at this breakfast joint.  The breakfast skillet and their caramel rolls.  What's interesting about that is that our listeners also voted the Country Rose Cafe as one of the 11 best caramel rolls in all of North Dakota too.
