A New Proposed Target Store For This North Dakota City
When is the last time you did a "Target run"?
It's often a weekly activity for many North Dakotans. A stop at Target weekly can take a lot of things off your shopping list, from groceries, hygiene products, clothes for the family, personal care/beauty items, home goods, electronics, toys, seasonal items, sporting goods, and much more.
Our Target in Bismarck could use a makeover.
If you have been to other Target stores in places like Grand Forks or stores in Minnesota, it's pretty obvious that our Target needs some updates. North Dakota currently has four Target stores. One in Minot, Grand Forks, Fargo, and ours in Bismarck, located in the Kirkwood Mall.
Nationwide, there are more than 2000 Target stores across the United States.
That's according to Wikipedia. The Target headquarters location is in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the first Target retail store was located in Roseville, Minnesota, back in 1962. Target typically ranks high on the Fortune 500 list as one of the largest American corporations by total revenue.

A new, updated Target in North Bismarck would be pretty sweet and would be received well, in my opinion. If I had to bet, that will happen someday, probably before the Vikings ever win a Super Bowl.
It looks like one North Dakota city will get another Target location. FARGO!
According to an article from KVRR-TV, Target Corporation has applied for a permit with the city of Fargo to build a brand new store in South Fargo. The bullseye for this new Target location is 4814 38th Street South, just off of 52nd Avenue and I-29. This will be a 133,000 square foot Target. In comparison, Bismarck's Target is approximately 148,000 square feet.
So far, the application is going through the review process, and inspections are pending.
