North Dakota is losing one of its longest-tenured furniture stores.

Conlin's Furniture has been in this North Dakota city since 1937.  According to their Facebook page, they are selling EVERYTHING in the store at significantly reduced prices. Everything will be sold including mattresses, furniture, fixtures, and even delivery trucks.

No inventory will be moved to other Conlin's stores across the state, so if you are in the market for some new furniture and at a significantly reduced price this could be your opportunity.

The North Dakota city that is losing its Conlin's store FOREVER is GRAND FORKS.

Conlin's Furniture in Grand Forks, North Dakota is located at 1605 South Washington and has been a fixture in the city of Grand Forks for nearly 90 years.

Why are they closing this North Dakota Conlin's Furniture store?

According to the Sun, the decision comes in response to increased online shopping and rising inflation.

No official closure date has been set, but the store building is listed for sale, according to the Grand Forks Herald.

Since Conflin's Furniture has been in this community for so long, they are treating this closure as more of a celebration, and giving the residents of Grand Forks and the area one last opportunity to purchase everything.

This closure is following the trend of so many retail stores nationwide shutting their doors due to soft sales. Big Lots just announced the closing of 545 stores. Clothing retail stores have been struggling for the same reasons and shutting down too.

I myself, can't imagine buying furniture online, but that is exactly what many consumers are doing these days.

At this time, no word of any other Conlin's Furniture stores in North Dakota closing in the near future. Conlin's did close their Jamestown store back in 2019.
