North Dakota In The Top 10 For Quality of Life
The word is getting out, and it's something we already knew. According to Yahoo.com, North Dakota is in the top 10 states for quality of life in a recent survey published today.North Dakota is in pretty nice company. At #1 is New Hampshire followed by Minnesota at #2, Vermont at #3, Iowa at #4 and North Dakota, The Peace Garden State at #5.

> Employment rate: 81.8% (the highest)
> Household disposable income per capita: $31,844 (12th highest)
> Homicide rate: 2.99 per 100,000 people (18th lowest)
> Voter turnout: 63.9% (19th highest)
Plus the oil boom is placing a large economic windfall, which brings many benefits including the lowest unemployment rate in the country at 3.3%. Our strong agriculture industry employ about 9% of the work force and that number is also shared with the mining industry.
Plus the energy boom has also led to a population growth in the state. Plus, here is a statistic to be proud of, according to Yahoo.com North Dakota residents are relatively well educated. More than 91% of the state’s labor force had completed at least secondary school last year, among the highest rates in the country.
