North Dakota C-Store With A Risque Name Likely Changing
Naughty innuendoes will likely force a name change for North Dakota convenience stores.
A longtime risque name for North Dakota gas stations will likely force a name change in the future.
According to The Drive, Kum & Go gas stations will be changing their names not only in North Dakota but across the country, and you know why.
Apparently, the convenience store chain’s new Utah-based owners are tired of being the butt of your jokes.
I have to say, I've always questioned why you would ever name a gas station that name. Even more than that, if you were to name your gas station that, why not spell it differently? Kum, should be "Come" shouldn't it? If the previous owners had just done that, I don't think we're even having this conversation.
When will Kum & Go convenience stores rebrand their name?
According to reports, the name change will likely Kum in 2025 (See what I did there?).
The new name of Kum & Go will likely be "Maverik."
Kum & Go was established in Iowa back in 1959. According to the article, they were acquired by FJ Management's Maverik's chain in April of 2023. I'm just wondering if they will be selling Tom Cruise Top Gun merchandise when they flip to Maverik.
We have one Kum & Go location in Bismarck and it's located at 207 East Rosser in downtown Bismarck.
Other locations in the region include a Kum & Go in Hettinger, Watford City, Minot, Tioga, Fargo, Williston, and Bowman.
