Mandan Woman Fighting Cancer Featured on Time Cover

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — A Mandan woman who is battling cancer is featured on the cover of the current Time magazine.

Sixty-eight-year-old Marcia Stiefel is featured in an article about the gap between cancer treatments offered in large city medical clinics and those offered in rural areas.

Stiefel is fighting brain cancer. She tells The Bismarck Tribune (http://bit.ly/1bjG5Gn ) that it isn't exactly how she wanted to get on the cover of Time. Her interview was set up through her doctor.

Stiefel says he hopes the article will help cancer patients like herself.
