The Mandan Rodeo will happen on July 2nd, 3rd & 4th.  According to a press release the Mandan Rodeo will celebrate it's 141st year in 2020 and it expects a record number of contestants.

According to Committee Chairman Jason Mittlestadt, "We pre-sold more online tickets in one week than we have ever sold online in the past", which means the 2020 Mandan Rodeo is a go!  As of June 3rd, 2020, online ticket sales totaled 1142 compared to 428 total online tickets sold for the 2019 event.

The goal of the Mandan Rodeo committee was to sell 3,000 tickets to ensure the rodeo would be held.  Although they missed this goal, sponsors stepped in and filled the gap.  According to the press release two local businesses came forward providing the backstop needed to commit to hosting this event.

The Mandan Rodeo expects to see two to three times the usual number of contestants flood the community July 1st to the 4th, and some of the nations top cowboys and cowgirls will compete here.  Part of the reason why the Mandan Rodeo expects so many contestants is because of it's reputation and the fact that so many rodeos have cancelled according to Committee Chairman Jason Mittlestadt.

So, if you would like to buy your tickets online, you can do so at mandanrodeo.com.  Ticket prices are $25 dollars for adults and $10 dollars for children 6-12.  Children 5 and under are free.  All tickets will be general admission.

So, with the parade cancelled over the 4th of July here in Mandan, here's something for you and your family to look forward to.
