Looks Like Bismarck Has Lost Another Sandwich Shop
It looks like another sandwich shop restaurant has made its last sub.
It wasn't that long ago that Bismarck had not one but two of these chain sandwich restaurants. They were both owned by different owners. Now, we are down to zero.
According to online reports, Erbert and Gerberts in south Bismarck is no longer open.

Erbert & Gerbert's Sandwich Shop thanked its customers for their loyalty over the past many years. I know Erbert & Gerbert's was a favorite of our staff for a company working lunch.
Erbert & Gerbert's Sandwich Shop also had another location previously in North Bismarck.
That restaurant closed in July of 2022 with a much better location you could argue. The Southend location was kind of hidden off of Bismarck Expressway and may be a bit more challenging location for a business. You almost had to know where you were going to stop at that location.
No word at this time on why Erbert & Gerbert's management decided to close this Southend location.
It should be noted that the Erbert & Gerbert's on the north side of town had different owners than the south end of town and remained open about a year and a half longer.
Always sad to see a business not make it in our city but it's certainly a trend across the country. You can blame it on a lack of help or difficult economic uncertainties. Either way, it's a fact of life.
