I'm all about progress, I'm all about creativity, I'm all about making life beautiful

That is exactly how I feel. We sometimes ( I speak for myself on this ) feel like we have fallen into a huge rut. Go to work every weekday, almost the same time we leave in the morning, and get home at night. Taking the same route, pretty much on autopilot, you know? That is ok, but lately I have been trying to open my eyes and be aware of what's around me, and how lucky we live in Bismarck, Mandan - and this special project will add so much to our lives, I believe that.

First proposed in the 2018 Downtown Plan, the idea resurfaced in 2024

I can't wait for this to happen - for all of us to take a couple of moments and appreciate the creativity and artwork that people care about our community share - check out this exciting news from city of Mandan:

"A public art initiative—the Mandan Art Alley—is coming to downtown Mandan. Set to take shape yet this summer, the project will be in the alley behind the 200 block of West Main Street, between First and Second Avenue NW.

First proposed in the 2018 Downtown Plan, the idea resurfaced in 2024 by a group of engaged local business owners, event planners and arts advocates. The City Commission recently approved providing up to $35,000 in additional funding through the Mandan Visitors Fund to support the effort. The Mandan Visitors Fund is generated from the 1% restaurant and lodging tax and must be used for capital improvements that attract visitors to the community"

This is going to be awesome!
