Man Running 50k In 50 States -One of Them Is ND Soon
Just when you think 26.2 miles is long enough
I ran marathons a long time ago, 26.2 miles long - I finished 14 of those, and every time I always told myself, "Never again." It's that much of a mental and of course, a physical grind. I remember having to walk backwards downstairs ( to ease the soreness in my calves ) for the next 14 or 15 days. This man is doing that and MORE every single day. You see 50k is exactly 31.7 miles! His name is Brady McDonald, and he is on a mission.
The 'Zero to 100 Wishes' journey began on July 25th
Taking that first step in Florida on July 25th, Brady has already made a huge change in his life, and it's huge. According to kvrr.com " 50 50k Sunrise Wish Runs in 50 days, all to help grant 100 wishes through the Make-a-Wish foundation.*It's not easy, getting the whole team from state to state, but McDonald says he's excited to arrive at the North Dakota stop in Medora. North Dakota is state 30 of 50 on McDonald's list"
Try and imagine the willpower and determination it takes every single day
If you ever ran a marathon, or are in training for your first one, you are well aware of what it takes. Sore aches and pains are only just a part of what it takes to gain enough confidence to run 26.2 miles, there is no way I can ever imagine running 31 miles EVERY day - Good luck Brady!
