It is so normal to get a haircut, that most of us probably do not think about the fact that such a thing is, in fact, a luxury. Some people cannot afford haircuts, even people in our own community. So, a local organization is working to gather hairstylists to give haircuts to people in need in Bismarck-Mandan.

KX News is reporting that there is a need for volunteer hairstylists to give homeless people in Bismarck-Mandan free haircuts. According to the news station, Ministry on the Margins had this plan, pre-pandemic, but it was not easy to get the operation up-and-running at that time. Now, Ministry on the Margins is asking for hairstylists for volunteer for upcoming events. Get the full story from KX News here.

Ministry on the Margins is here for people in many ways, and offering haircuts is just another way they are looking to serve the community. According to the organization's website, Ministry on the Margins is "committed to those who fall through the cracks during times of transition" and offers "hospitality and coffee, several meals, a food pantry, prison-to-society support, and ecumenical Christian worship service, and many other ministries."
