Beloved North Dakota TV News Anchor Is Moving On
It's crazy how viewers and listeners can become attached to their favorite TV News personalities and radio announcers.
I know that, as the latter, I feel so fortunate to have met and gotten to know so many of my listeners and fans of the stations I have worked for during my career.
People are creatures of habit and once they find something they like, many times they become attached. I know I have been told by numerous of my listeners that we become a friend to them. Something they can depend on. All compliments that have stuck with me throughout my radio career.
The same can be said with TV New personalities, especially the anchors who we watch nightly at 6 or 10.
Local TV news has really expanded over the years as now many stations offer local news at 12, 4, 5, and even 9 pm. Not to mention most of these stations have morning shows.
Our news partner here at Townsquare Media in Bismarck is KX News. One of their beloved News anchors is leaving their lineup. I'm speaking of Alysia Huck.
She left a heartfelt post on her Facebook page recently, as she shared her departure.
Alysia Huck has been with KX News for nearly 13 years, which is a very long time in this business.
She has anchored the evening news and has been a part of the KX News morning show for a long time now. Alysia Huck has also been heard on our Townsquare Media radio stations, oftentimes cutting our local newscasts that air on our stations.
I am definitely a fan of Alysia (far right) and wish her continued success in the next chapter of her life. I met her and Amber Wheeler (far left) (a BIG fan of hers too, who also left us for a job in Louisiana) a couple of summers back. GOOD LUCK Alysia, you will be missed in the Captial Region.
