7 Things To Never Leave In A North Dakota Garage During Winter
What's a Perk in North Dakota Each Winter?
Our garages turn into a GIANT extra freezer. Run out of room in your chest freezer in your garage? Just throw that bag of broccoli on top of the freezer and call it good. However, be warned. If we should happen to get a January thaw like we have had the last week, you'd better find room in your freezer, or that broccoli can stink up your garage fast. We found that out firsthand recently.
Yes, I know it's not advisable to use your garage as an extra freezer. Any health official would surely shame me for this, but I know so many people who do, especially when temperatures are well below zero. I also keep a thermometer in my garage, so I always know the current temperature. I generally only do this for a few days, until we eat our way into more room in our garage freezer.
Did You Know There Are 7 Things You Should NEVER Leave in a Freezing Garage?
I ran across a couple of articles from Garage Living and Reader's Digest to compile this list for you. Some of these are fairly obvious, others maybe not so much. One of them could even save your life and keep your house from going "boom", much like what happened in Mandan this past Saturday.
