Ex North Dakota Rep. Kerzman Dies in Farm Accident

MOTT, N.D. (AP) — Former longtime state Rep. James Kerzman was killed in a tractor accident over the weekend on his farm near Mott.

Hettinger County Sheriff Sarah Warner confirmed the death to The Associated Press on Monday but declined to release further details, saying the Saturday incident was still under investigation.

Warner says Kerzman was the only person involved.

Kerzman was a Democrat who served in the state House from 1991 through 2009. He was defeated in his re-election bid in 2010.
