Everything You Need To Know about Mandan Clean Up Day
9th Annual Mandan Litter Clean-Up Day Planned For April 30th.
According to a press release from the city of Mandan, the Community Beautification Committee is seeking volunteers to pick up litter on Saturday, April 30, from 9 am to noon. Each year more than 200 volunteers collect 400 to 500 bags of trash from ditches along major roadways. Businesses, civic organizations, and youth groups are encouraged to take a route.

Volunteers will be pre-assigned areas and notified the day prior to designated meet-up locations. Route leaders will pick up supplies for volunteers on clean-up day from 8-9 am at the City grounds maintenance building located at 1600 Mandan Avenue Northeast.
Following clean-up activities, volunteers will be treated to an appreciation lunch at the grounds maintenance building. Participants will have a chance to win a variety of family-friendly prizes donated by local merchants and organizations.
Donuts donated by Bearscat Bakehouse will be served at designated meet-up locations. Food for the appreciation lunch is donated in part by Cloverdale Foods, Dan’s Supermarket, Pepsi Beverages, and Frito Lay with grilling services provided by Dakota Community Bank and Trust. Volunteers will receive t-shirts from Keep North Dakota Clean, Inc.; Leinenkugel’s –Canoes for a Cause; and Jerome Distributing Inc. They will also receive a voucher to Cappuccino on Collins for a beverage discount.

Volunteers are asked to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and bring protective work or garden-type gloves and bug spray.
