Early Morning Fire Destroys a Bismarck Family’s Home
The call came in about 5:30 Monday morning and after it was done, a family was homeless in Bismarck.
Bismarck Fire Department responded to the call early Monday morning in the 700 block of South 12th Street, according to the Bismarck Tribune.
The blaze was tackled by several fire trucks and over 15 fire-fighters at the scene. Most of the trailer home was destroyed, some of the items in the rear of the home survived.
The cause of the fire has not been determine as of press-time.
The home owner, Jake Steen was not home and his wife was at work. Home alone was their 12 year old son who escaped the blaze, but was treated for smoke inhalation.
Bismarck Police Department was on the scene. The Red Cross was called to assist the family.
