Drunkest Cities in the US, and The Midwest Can Hold it’s Own!
Maybe it's the long, cold and hard winters but the Midwest holds the honors of having the drunkest cities in the country according to Bustle.
And the top city (drum roll please) Fargo, ND.
And the other cities include:
2. Columbus, Nebraska
3. Missoula, Montana
4. Ft. Collins, Colorado
5. Brookings, South Dakota
6. Milwaukee, Wisconsin
7. Lawrence, Kansas
8. Tallahassee, Florida
9. Bozeman, Montana
10. Lincoln, Nebraska
The criteria to make the list was is that Bustle used numbers from the CDC of the percentage of people who binge drink in the US.
The CDC refers to binge drinking as five plus drinks for men or four or more for women in “one occasion.” Heavy drinking is defined by the CDC as more than one drink per day for women and two for men.
After posting this story, I realize I could very well have a drinking situation, I'd hate to call it a problem. (grin)
Is this something that we should be proud of or do you think we have a problem in the Midwest?
