New Business Alert:

Bismarck is getting a pretty popular restaurant that caters to breakfast-loving people.  According to sources close to the situation, I was made aware that this national breakfast chain intended to open up a restaurant here in Bismarck months ago.  I of course am talking about IHOP.

According to Wikipedia, IHOP has 1,841 locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, and Guatemala.  They also have locations in the Middle East and South Asia.

Many of their locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but the chain's minimum operating hours are 7 am to 10 pm.

Although the focus of this restaurant chain is breakfast, they also offer lunch and dinner menus.

IHOP currently has two locations already in North Dakota.

One is in Fargo and the other location is in my hometown of Grand Forks.  Bismarck will be the 3rd location in our state with rumors of possible others opening up.

This restaurant purchased land up north near Costco years ago, but it appears they are finally ready to start building in 2024.  We don't have an exact date for when ground will be broken or when the restaurant may open but we do believe it will be in 2024.

According to a recent Facebook post from the Aspen Group:

Mike Illse and Jessica Knutson were excited to announce the completion of the land for sale just south of Panda Express and Costco to build a new IHOP restaurant.  More details are coming in 2024.

I see according to their website, that some locations are now serving beer, sangrias, and mimosas.

I must say, as somebody who moved here from Grand Forks several years ago, IHOP's waffles are to die for.  I'm salivating just thinking about it.
