
Daytona 500, Rain Delayed 6 Hours, Finished Under The Lights With Dale Jr as the Winner
It started in the daylight under the clouds, was postponed due to bad weather and a threat of tornados, but after a 6 hour delay the Daytona 500 finished under the lights and Dale Earnhardt Jr. was the winner!

The race was red flagged by 6 hours, 22 minutes on the 38th lap. Racing was fierce but clean for the next 100 laps. That soon was to change, as five wrecks racked up the final 60 laps, including one that happened behind Dale Jr. on the final lap.
The unofficial top 5 and results are Dale Jr., Denny Hamlin, followed by Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson. The schedule heads to Phoenix next for the Subway 500.
