As if we need another reason to love hometown hero Carson Wentz!  Once you see this story, aired earlier on ESPN, you'll see why it's so easy to love the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback even more. Not just for his talent in the game, but also for his giving spirit!Warning though, get a box of tissue.

When someone gains fame and fortune through any walk of life, it's easy for them to live it up and forget where they come from. Forget about the struggles they may have  had before hitting the golden road to success. That is not the case for Carson Wentz.

The story air earlier from ESPN’s 'The Power of Sports' with Tom Rinaldi , and after watching it, it made me even more proud to live in the place Carson Wentz calls home.

Here's a story of an 8-year old boy from Wilmington, Delaware, suffering from stomach cancer and his hope was to thank Carson Wentz for sending him a get well video. The boy, Lukas only wanted to thank Carson for the video. That's it. Not meet him, not go to a game, just to thank him.

The Make A Wish Foundation made it possible for Lukas to spend time with Carson Wentz and the rest of the team. Lukas lost his battle against cancer two weeks following his visit with Carson Wentz and was buried in a Carson Wentz jersey.

Here is the story which aired on ESPN, but I warn you, it will being you to tears.

Lukas's story is much bigger than the game, and so is Carson Wentz.
