It's been a very active last month for tragedy in Bismarck Mandan.  According to an email obtained by the Bismarck Police Department, a stabbing took place last night in Bismarck.

It happened in the 2700 block of North Washington Street around 8:45 pm.  Derek Carda, 38, of Bismarck, was arrested last night for allegedly stabbing his 33-year-old brother.  Officers were called to an apartment located on North Washington Street.  Derek Carda was on the scene but the 33-year-old brother was not.

Officers located him later at a local hotel in Bismarck and he was transported to a local hospital and treated for three stab wounds.  Carda who was arrested for the stabbing was also transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and later taken to BMDC and held on the charge of Aggravated Assault.
