Airline Boardings Up Across The State Of North Dakota
According to KFYR-TV, Commercial boarding across the state is up almost 12% in the state of North Dakota. State officials say boardings across the state at the eight commercial service airports in January were up almost 12%.
According to the state Aeronautics Commission, close to 100,300 people boarded air planes in Dickinson, Bismarck, Jamestown, Fargo, Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Williston, and Minot during the month of January. All of those airports saw an increase in passenger boarding except Grand Forks.
With the increase in boardings, Devils Lake saw the biggest increase at 28.8%, Fargo at 17.9%, Dickinson at 13.5%, Bismarck at 11.8%, Minot 9%, Williston at 5.4%, and Jamestown at 3.9%. The increase in boardings is good for the economy in the state of North Dakota. Bismarck and Williston have recently done some upgrades at both of their airports. Bismarck recently completed a runway project. Williston just got a new airport and Bismarck is looking at the possibility of expanding to allow even more passengers to board.
