A Bismarck Favorite:  Forrie J. Smith is coming back to the Capitol City.

Forrie J. Smith is coming back to Bismarck to help promote Chad Berger's Bucking Battle in Bismarck at the Bismarck Event Center which is Friday, October 20th, and Saturday, October 21st, 2023.

I've been lucky enough to have Forrie on my show previously and hang with him at a live broadcast. The whole time I kept thinking to myself why is he so familiar?  More on that in a minute.

If you didn't meet him at Bucking Battle in Bismarck before:

You may have caught him at Williquors.  I was there with Forrie Smith as he signed autographs, took pictures, and sold a lot of his very own whiskey "Oak & Eden."  The line was literally wrapped around every aisle inside the store and outside the building.  The event ended up lasting a lot longer than 2 p.m., as the fans just kept coming.

As somebody who has met his fair share of celebrities over the years, I enjoy watching how stars interact with their fans.  Some really care about their fans, others don't really give a rip and it's obvious.  That is not the case with Forrie.  You could tell he had a sincere appreciation for his fans.

Forrie, who plays Lloyd Pierce, the senior ranch hand on the hit TV series Yellowstone.

Of course, we are all waiting for the highly anticipated 2nd half of season 5 to be back.  The show of course stars Kevin Costner (who probably won't be back) and revolves around the Dutton family, owners of one of the largest ranches in the United States.  Yellowstone can be seen on the Paramount Network.

While I was interviewing Forrie Smith on the radio he told me about his acting and rodeo roots.  Smith is a real-life cowboy, born and raised in Helena, Montana.  He actually received a rodeo scholarship to Montana State University.  He lived his dreams by competing in rodeos for 52 years.

However, Smith's success in rodeos eventually opened up doors in Hollywood.  He became one of Hollywood's best stuntmen, with his work on movies like Rambo 3, Desperado, and many more.  Still, there was somewhere else I knew him from.  Then he mentioned to me he had a nonspeaking part in the movie "Tombstone."  Ah, that's it!  I love that movie and I have seen it a thousand times.  He played the outlaw "Pony Deal", part of the group accused by Wyat Earp of attempting to kill his brother.

Now you can meet Forrie J. Smith again in Bismarck.  This time at Dvorak Motorsports & RV Center.

He will be there from 12 noon until 2 pm and get this?  There will be whiskey sampling courtesy of Bayside in Mandan and Chad Berger of Chad Berger Bucking Bulls on location during this time.
Be sure to save the date and you can meet Forrie J. Smith at 1829 East Bismarck Expressway.  Yellowstone fans, don't miss this opportunity.

Now, I can't wait to see Tombstone again.  Cowboy up ya'll.
