World Renowned Bud Clydesdales Coming To North Dakota
Giddy up! Have you ever witnessed the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales before?
The stable of horses that have appeared at numerous major sporting events all over America will be a part of one of North Dakota's biggest sporting events. More on that in a moment.
According to a press release from McQuade Distributing, the Budweiser Clydesdales are scheduled to make several appearances in the area.
Did you know that the Budweiser Clydesdales have been around since 1933?
The Clydesdales make hundreds of appearances across the country annually. Canadians of Scottish descent brought the first Clydesdales to America in the mid-1800s. Today, the giant draft horses are used primarily for breeding and show.
How does a horse become a Budweiser Clydesdale?
They must be at least three years of age, stand 6 feet at the shoulder, weigh an average of 2,000 pounds, must be bay in color, have four white legs, and a blaze of white on the face and black mane and tail. They must also have a gentle temperament as these hitch horses meet millions of people each year.
Now, you can see and meet the Budweiser Clydesdales in Bismarck/Mandan.
They will be coming to the Capital Region to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sam McQuade Sr.-Budweiser Charity Softball Tournament, which takes place from June 27th to June 29th.
