Several reports came out Tuesday saying that the teenage gunman in Texas, Salvador Ramos was from North Dakota.  I also saw a couple of reports that said he was from South Dakota.

According to an article from the Bismarck Tribune, the 18-year-old Salvador Ramos was indeed born in North Dakota.  However, he never attended a public school district in North Dakota.  In the article, it says that public school enrollment records show that he never stepped foot in a North Dakota school.  How much time he actually spent living in our state is unclear at this time.  Birth records are not available to the public in North Dakota and are considered confidential.  Ramos actually attended high school in Uvalde, Texas.  The city where he went on his shooting spree.

It's unthinkable and unimaginable what this very disturbed individual did on Tuesday.  As a father whose son just attended his final day of school yesterday, my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.  I'm also very pissed off.  Knowing that could've been our children gunned down.  This coward walks into an elementary school and kills 19 very young children and two teachers.  Thankfully, there will be no waste of money on a trial for this poor excuse of a human being.  Law enforcement opened fire back on Ramos and now he has to explain what he did to his maker.

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has ordered all government agencies to fly flags at half-staff until Saturday evening in remembrance of this tragic event, which unfortunately has North Dakota ties.
