According to Zippia, 70% of American's don't get enough sleep.  I'm one of them most mornings when that 6:00 am alarm clock rings.  YIKES.  I have struggled sleeping most of my life.  When it comes to falling asleep, what works for other people has never worked for me, and believe me, I've tried everything.

It's weird, I have friends who can actually fall asleep as their head is literally hitting the pillow.  Don't you hate people like that?  Grown adults that can fall asleep in an airplane, a car, or God forbid taking a nap?  All I can say is, "They're extremely fortunate."

Getting back to Zippia's new survey, "The Most Sleep-Deprived States in America."  We're actually in pretty good shape in North Dakota.  We come in at number 39 as the most sleep-deprived state in the nation.  I'm thinking if it weren't for me, our score would've been much higher.  Our neighbors to the south, South Dakota come in at number 50.  Yep, they're the least sleep-deprived state in the nation.  Minnesota and Montana are in pretty good shape too.  Minnesota is sitting at the number 48 in the survey and Montana at number 46.  So, in general, the upper midwest is a pretty good place to fall asleep.  We must handle our stress pretty well.  I wish I was one of them.

The most sleep-deprived state is Hawaii.  I'm guessing it's so beautiful out there, you don't want to miss anything.  They are followed by Kentucky, Georgia, and Mississippi.

I guess you could say the northern plains are pretty well-rested, while the southeast needs a nap.
