The Downtowner’s Street Fair!
Who's ready for Arts, Crafts and GREAT FOOD! The annual Downtowner's Street Fair begins tomorrow in downtown Bismarck. Each Fall, the Downtowners produce an Arts, Craft and Food show called "Street Fair." This event was created by the Downtowners organization way back in 1973 as "Customer Appreciation Days", then grew into a full blown Street Fair. "Street Fair" is now in it's 47th year. Arts, Craft and Food vendors will line the streets of Downtown Bismarck during the weekend of September 18th and September 19th 2020.
The hours for this years Downtowner's Street Fair will be Friday, September 18th from 10 am to 8 pm. Saturday, September 19th 9 am to 6 pm. Street Fair Organizers are still planning to hold the event with many safety changes.
Now there will be some new rules to help comply with social distancing and COVID-19. There will be a 50% reduction of vendor booths and vendors will be spaced out. You can use the "Street Fair" vendor app to plan out your shopping. Because of the pandemic there will be no kids games, tables, chairs or live music. Keep in mind that many of the vendors are small business owners or non-profits that depend on "Street Fair" every year as a fundraiser. You are asked to wear a face mask or face covering and practice good hygiene. Also, be sure to use their hand sanitizer stations. Vendors will be following recommended safety precautions and the public is highly encouraged to wear masks at the event. Please do not attend if you are sic, awaiting COVID-19 test results, had close contact with a COVID positive individual or are immune-compromised.
Be sure to look for me, as I will be broadcasting live from the event from 11-1 pm. I'll have free swag for you too!
