
The 5th Red Pepper Restaurant Is Coming To This North Dakota City
The Red Pepper in my hometown of Grand Forks is pretty much world famous.
This little gem is beloved by so many on University Avenue in downtown Grand Forks. To be honest, the neighborhood is a little sketchy, I know, because I used to work at a radio station right down the street. Here's a shot of this iconic Mexican joint.
Despite the location, the Red Pepper in Grand Forks has thrived through the decades, and they even added a second and third location. One on the campus of the University of North Dakota and another on the south end of Grand Forks.
A 4th Red Pepper restaurant is located in North Fargo.
The Red Pepper is known worldwide, as I mentioned, and is probably most known for their Taco Grinders with numerous options on their menu.
The Red Pepper has been around since 1961 in their original Grand Forks Restaurant on University Avenue. Considering the average restaurant lasts 3 to 8 years. That is quite a run.
Since I moved to Bismarck almost 6 years ago, I've had numerous Red Pepper references to me from BisMan residents. One of the most common things said to me is that we NEED a Red Pepper in the Capital City.
Well, the Red Pepper just announced a NEW North Dakota location.
Unfortunately, it's not going into Bismarck or Mandan. It appears Fargo will luck out again and get another Red Pepper on the south end of town.
Did I mention the chips and sauce at the Red Pepper with just a hint of brown sugar in the sauce? So good! I'm getting homesick. We really need one in Bismarck. Who's with me?
