How many of these "lifestyles of the rich and famous" North Dakota hotels have you stayed at before?

As a longtime hockey parent, I have seen my share of pretty nice hotels.  After all, kids always want to stay at hotels with waterparks with all the bells and whistles.  It's kind of tough to talk them into a stay at a Motel 6 if you know what I mean.

I have done extensive traveling across North Dakota, Minnesota, and Canada following my son around from rink to rink over the years.  Hockey parents know how quickly these trips can burn a hole in their pocket, and hotels are the biggest culprit.

I have identified 4 hotels in North Dakota that will be especially painful in the pocketbook when it comes time to check out.

Let's be honest, even the most expensive hotel in North Dakota would be cheap compared to other regional cities like Minneapolis, Denver, or Winnipeg.

I myself have stayed at 3 of the 4 most expensive in North Dakota, and I must say they're worth every penny, to be honest.  Spacious rooms, plenty of amenities, and close to entertainment options.

Let's look at "The 4 Most Expensive & Luxurious Hotels in North Dakota", according to Trip Advisor.

(Please keep in mind that these are average prices.  You can no doubt find online deals cheaper)

#4 Radisson Blu-Fargo, North Dakota $160.00 per night.

This hotel is a hot spot for wedding receptions.  In fact, I have done several wedding dances at this hotel over the years, including my mother's.  Rooms are very spacious, and you are right in the middle of downtown life in Fargo with lots to do.

#3 Canad Inns Destination Centre-Grand Forks, North Dakota $167.00 per night.

My personal favorite hotel in all of North Dakota.  So much to do all under one roof.  Restaurants and bars including Tavern United, 'L Bistro, Garbonzo's Pizza and Arcade, and Playmakers is the perfect place if you like to gamble.  The kids will love the Splashers of the South Seas Waterpark.  Oh, yeah it's attached to the Alerus Center, so the perfect stay for a concert, UND football, or hockey games.

#2 Homewood Suites By Hilton-Fargo, North Dakota $181.00 per night.

This hotel looks unassuming on the outside but is full of amenities, including very large suites.

#1 Jasper Hotel-Fargo, North Dakota $200 per night.

Known as the nicest hotel in all of North Dakota.  I concur, not my favorite, but this place is luxurious.  The hotel offers panoramic studio suites.  The Jasper is also attached to one of Fargo's nicest restaurants Rosewild.  This hotel is certainly worth the money as well.  I wish it was in Bismarck.
