April 23rd was National Picnic Day, but we doubt anyone in North Dakota was having a picnic.

On April 4, 1997, a blizzard of disastrous proportions swept through North Dakota, dropping up to two feet of snow in some areas.

If you and about 9,000 people aren't doing anything sometime this winter, you can feel free to attempt this world record North Dakota set back in 2007.

Don't put the shovels away just yet as the region is getting set up for another round of snow in the coming days.

Through January 2, Bismarck received a lot of snow. Enough snow to set a new record.

We have entered a new year and yet the weather seems to remain the same.
