Discover The South-Central North Dakota 4th Of July Fun Guide
As dry as it was heading into spring, there were questions about whether fireworks would even be allowed this year.
Thankfully, according to the latest drought monitor map for North Dakota, all of south-central North Dakota is now drought-free. Only a small area of western and northeast North Dakota is considered in a moderate drought.
So, we shouldn't have to worry about fireworks bans this year in our neck of the woods anyway, but you should always use caution when shooting off fireworks in the country.
Have a shovel and some water along to help prevent wildfires. As always, the public should check with their local jurisdictions for specific restrictions.
Keep in mind it continues to be illegal to shoot fireworks off in the city of Bismarck unless you have a special license to do so.
You are, however, allowed to shoot fireworks off within the city limits of Mandan and Lincoln (be sure to check for local restrictions).
Here's where you can get your Red, White, and Bang fun in and around the Bismarck-Mandan area.
