Starbucks Closing Over 100 Stores! Will This Affect North Dakota?
A Starbucks run in the morning.
This is a must for many North Dakotans each and every morning. We are all creatures of habit, and so many of us depend on that frothy Starbucks caffeine buzz. I bet if you were to add up how much money we spend on coffee every month, you would be shocked. That cup of Joe is not cheap, especially if you prefer the high-end coffee shops like Starbucks.

Despite that, times are tough for just about every business these days. Even coffee shops that sell their products for a king's ransom are having problems these days. Case in point, changes are coming to North American Starbucks.
Starbucks is closing one percent of its North American stores.
This will add up to somewhere over one hundred stores across the United States and Canada. According to Good Housekeeping, Starbucks is closing stores as part of a major restructuring plan aimed at boosting sales and improving the customer experience, driven by underperforming locations and increased competition.
How many Starbucks stores in North Dakota are slated to close?
According to Business Insider, no formal announcement has been made by Starbucks, but Business Insider was able to put together a closure list based on affected in-store staff members, reporter visits, and verification through the Starbucks "store locator" feature.
The good news? Although this list is considered incomplete and still growing, NO Starbucks North Dakota locations are set to close.
Minnesota has numerous locations set to close (mostly in the Twin Cities area), but again, no mention of North Dakota Starbucks, the same with South Dakota, and Montana.
Again, this could change in the coming days, and we will keep you updated. We know how important coffee is to you. Stay caffeinated, my friends.
