What To Expect At The 75th St. Marys Carnival In Bismarck

When was the last time you attended a school carnival? I know it's been a few years for me, as my only child will be graduating from college this year. Still, I can smell the rectangular-shaped pizza just thinking about a school carnival.

Memories of my School Carnival

I have fond memories of my school carnival back in the day. Ironically, my son also went to the same grade school in Grand Forks, North Dakota, that I attended (Kelly Elementary), and we even had a few of the same teachers. I'm still devastated that I could never win a cake at one of those cake walks. I'm pretty sure they were rigged. Not to mention, I could never win a goldfish either. Maybe my memories aren't that fond of carnivals?

The creme de le creme on school carnivals is going down in Bismarck this weekend. It's what other school carnivals want to be when they grow up, and it's a big year for it.

Introducing the 75th Anniversary of the St. Mary's Carnival

It's going down at the traditional carnival location at St. Mary's Academy at 1025 North 2nd Street on Friday, January 30th, from 5:30 pm to 9 pm, Saturday, January 31st, from Noon to 9 pm, and Sunday, February 1st, from 9 am to 2 pm. Three days of action-packed fun.

Big Prizes at the St. Mary's Carnival

Buy a raffle ticket, and you could win the GRAND PRIZE: A 2026 GFC Terrain AWD Elevation, plus $8,500 in cash prizes. Drawing will be on Sunday at 2 pm.

Meals at the St. Mary's Carnival

Friday - Pork roast dinner with all the trimmings from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.

Saturday - Hamburger bar from 4:40 pm to 7 pm.

Sunday - Brunch with pancakes, eggs, and sausage from 9 am to 1 pm.

Activities at the St. Mary's Carnival

They include pull-tabs, cake walks, silent auction, book room, concessions, hair and jewelry boutique, and you can try to win a goldfish.
