Sam Hunt closed out North Dakota Country Fest on Saturday, July 12th, with a very memorable performance.

A very rousing crowd was treated to all of Sam Hunt's hits, including his TEN #1 hit songs like "Leave the Night On", "Take Your Time", "House Party", "Body Like a Back Road", and so many more.

I got a chance to sit down with Sam backstage before and talk about his love for North Dakota.

He is a big bird hunter like me, and we spent some time talking about our bird dogs. Sam Hunt even sings about his beloved bird dog in his new song, racing up the charts, "Country Home".

Sam was even sporting a Ducks Unlimited baseball cap during his concert. He has spent time hunting waterfowl and upland game in North Dakota before, and he hopes to do it again this season.

We also talked about the new addition to his family.

Sam and his wife Hannah also just welcomed baby number three on May 21st of this year, and he told the crowd in New Salem that she was back home taking care of the family.

They named their son Weyman Allen Hunt, and the new addition joins his daughter, Lucy Louise, 3, and their other son, Lowry Lee, who is 21 months old.

Sam's show was full of energy, and the ND Country Fest record-breaking crowd really responded.

I managed to snap some pretty up-close shots, and I thought I would share those with you. Enjoy!
