One North Dakota City Sadly On Most Likely To Be Raped List

Rape, one of the most violent and disgusting crimes.

Lock them all up and throw away the key in my opinion.  Sadly, this unforgivable crime has probably occurred in almost every city in North Dakota, and America for that matter.  However, certain cities in America seem more prone to this vial crime than others.

It's never fun to talk (or write) about rape and it certainly isn't something I ever want to associate with the state I love.  Unfortunately, it happens, even in North Dakota.

I came across a list of Metropolitan Cities in America with the highest rape rate, according to Statista.

One North Dakota city made this list of the Top 50.  A not so dubious honor to say the least.  Anchorage, Alaska came in at #1 on the city you are most likely to be raped in America with 186.7 rapes per 100,000 inhabitants  Not so far from our neck of the woods, Rapid City, South Dakota came in at #2 with 146.6 per 100,000 of the population.

Other regional cities that made the top 50 cities include:

They are both in Montana.  Great Falls, Montana at #30 with 67.5, and Missoula, Montana came in at #45 with 63.6.  The state of Minnesota did not have a city that made the top 50 list.

Unfortunately, we did have one North Dakota city make this Top 50 list of the most likely to be raped in America.

This city would be the one with the largest population in North Dakota.  Fargo came in at #27 as the cities most likely to be raped in America with 69.3 rapes per 100,000 of the population.
