North Dakota’s Spectacular Way Of Saying Thank You Heroes!
What is the best way to say thank you to those who have given and sacrificed so much? Not sure we can answer that. Not sure if there is ever a way to say thank you to the levels that so many deserve. But we can at least step back, watch, and observe.
It's called the Wall of Honor, and the latest one to be unveiled in the Bismarck / Mandan area will be installed at the Morton County Courthouse on August 30, 2022, at 10:00 am proudly sponsored by the Marathon Petroleum Corporation.=
The Wall of Honor salutes local heroes across the state of North Dakota by paying tribute to them on digital indoor billboards.
The digital indoor billboard showcases North Dakotans who have served; including our Veterans, active and retired military personnel, all emergency responders, and medical professionals.
You have may have seen some of these tributes around the Bismarck/Mandan area. The concept is quite simple. Digital indoor billboards are being located in restaurants, Veteran’s service and fraternal organizations, c-stores, banks, credit unions, hotel lobbies, schools, airports, casinos, and taverns, just to name a few locations.
Local heroes are the men and women who drive the ambulance, fight our fires, protect our cities and counties, and serve in the active military, retired military, and Veterans.
These heroes are prominently displayed in digital format on a screen with a photo, name, and career of service, both past, and present.
Anyone can add pictures of their loved ones to this digital display of patriotism. Head to the Wall of Honor at TheWallOfHonor.org for more information. Follow this North Dakota non-profit on Facebook at @WallofHonor.
We recently had a vehicle serviced at Gunschers Auto Repair in Mandan, and there was a Wall of Honor hanging on the shop wall for all to see too. We stopped, watched, and silently thanked all those that scrolled across the screen!
