Who doesn't like to splurge every now and then?

There are always special occasions to celebrate with exceptional food and drink.  This is something humans have been doing since the beginning of time.  Birthdays, anniversaries, career advancements, a first date, well, you get the idea.

Every city has that one restaurant in town, that is known for dining elegance, delicious food, and tremendous service.  All that fine dining has a price, however.  Sometimes, the bill can give you sticker shock.

I remember when I got married in Lake Tahoe, we decided to take our families and friends out to dinner at one of Tahoe's finest.  Since they all took that long trip to share on our big day, we thought it was only fitting if we picked up the bill.  All I'm going to say is that was indeed a "break the bank" moment but we decided to proceed.  That dinner to this day is still the biggest check I've ever picked up before.

Even here in Bismarck, we have a few restaurants that will have you running for the restroom when the check arrives.

Well, if you're just dying to spend some cash and love the lifestyles of the rich and famous in North Dakota, the website Love Food came up with the most expensive restaurant in North Dakota.

This is a steakhouse that's known for its beef and booze.  One of their more pricey items on the menu includes a 14 oz center cut from the finest part of a sirloin will set you back $42.95.  To be honest, doesn't sound all that terrible and I'm far from wealthy.

I'm pretty sure we have a restaurant or two in Bismarck that would give this place a run for its money.  Literally.
