North Dakota’s Best Burger Joint On National Burger Day
It's National Burger Day in America, and nothing beats a good burger.
Comfort food to the core. Team it up with a plate of french fries, and you have one of America's favorite combos.
We have some really good burger joints right here in the Capital Region. Sickies Garage, Texas Roadhouse, Scotty's, The Tumbleweed, The Blarney Stone, JL Beers, The Walrus, Little Cottage, Krolls Diner, Rock'n 50's Cafe, and The Broadway Grill and Tavern, just to name a few.
All of those fine burger joints are fine local options if you find yourself craving a burger. However, one North Dakota burger joint has been crowned "The Best of the Best" recently.
According to our friends at Chowhound, 2025's best burger joint in North Dakota is the Blue 42 Sports Grille in Dickinson.
Here's what Chowhound had to say about the Blue 42 Sports Grille's burgers.
"A simple burger" is not what the Blue 42 Sports Grille is all about. You can find burgers made of proteins like beef and chorizo, topped with fixings like elk sausage and teriyaki mayonnaise, and a selection of buns to choose from, like a white roll to a sweet concha.
Blue 42 Sports Grille was a favorite of the Bismarck Demon hockey parents a few years back when my son was playing. It was just a given that we would stop there before the game. They are located at 36 West Villard Street in Dickinson.
Oh, by the way, each burger has the Blue 42 logo on the bun.
Next time you are in the Dickinson area, this burger joint might be worth a stop or even a road trip.
