The little league team from North Dakota based out of Fargo had its run towards the Little League World Series come to an end on Saturday morning as Iowa beat them in the Midwest Regional Championship, 7-4.

Iowa jumped out to a 7-0 lead before North Dakota fought back with a four-run sixth inning that would end up being too little, too late.

The Fargo little league team would've been the first team to make the Little League World Series, had they won. Fargo had previously not lost a game within the Midwest Regional until the championship game against Iowa.

The little league team from Iowa now advances on to play in the Little League World Series, which begins on Thursday, August 16th. They will play the winner of the Mid-Atlantic Regional. The title game of the Mid-Atlantic Regional will be played tonight between New York and Maryland on ESPN tonight at 6 p.m.

Congrats to North Dakota's little league team from Fargo on an amazing season and great regional run!
