North Dakota Target Shoppers: Get A Lifetime Ban By Doing This
Let's go for a Target run.
This is such a common activity for so many people all across North Dakota. Especially this time of year when so many people do their holiday shopping at Target.
The Minneapolis retailer has had a busy 2024 with several updates to its store policies in the last year. New rules at self-checkout lanes frustrated some customers. Target also put kibosh on writing checks in its stores across the country. This didn't go over too well with its elderly customers. They also updated how they do returns.
Target's latest policy change is a bold move for sure, and I for one applaud it.
More on this in just a moment.
We only have four Target stores in North Dakota. One in Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, and Bismarck. Speaking of our Bismarck Target store, we really need an update. It's pretty antiquated compared to Fargo and Grand Forks.
As I mentioned above, Target is a Minnesota-based company and has 73 locations across the state. However, Minnesota does not have the most Target stores (it's more in the middle of the pack). According to their website, California has the most Target Stores with 200 stores. Texas is next with 153, and Florida rounds out the top 3 with 126.
North Dakota ranks near the bottom with only 4 locations. Only Vermont (1), Wyoming (2), and Alaska (3) have fewer Target stores than North Dakota.
Now, the Target policy change that could get you banned for life.
According to the Pinnacle Gazette, Target will begin cracking down on shoplifters and theft in a big way. In the article, it goes on to say "Individuals caught stealing can face lifetime bans from all Target locations. Attempting to re-enter any Target could lead to an arrest for trespassing."
Again, I myself say kudos to Target for a stricter policy against lawless people. Stealing is a lazy person's way, and all it does is drive up already high prices. Send the crooks packing.
