Whether somebody is stranded on the side of the road, going through financial problems, health issues, or needs somebody to get their mail while they are on vacation, North Dakota people are usually there to step up.

I recently asked my listeners on our Facebook page, app, and on-air which cities in North Dakota are the friendliest.

North Dakota has just over 400 towns and cities across the state. After taking several hours to tabulate the survey, over 200 of the cities were mentioned. That means every other city is certified as "North Dakota Nice".

The majority of the places that received votes were small North Dakota towns. Many with less than a hundred living souls in their community.

With that being said, all of the largest North Dakota cities were mentioned as being North Dakota "nice" by our listeners and readers except the city of Williston.

In fact, the oil patch cities in general didn't receive many votes. Fargo and Grand Forks also received very few votes on the east side of the state.
