Where You Live Matters

We are pretty fortunate in North Dakota. Our quality of life consistently outpaces most other areas of the country. If job opportunities, affordable housing, and rent, and overall well-being matter to you, North Dakota is a great place to hang your hat.

Where you live matters more than most people ever imagine. So many people complain about their hometown, but never do anything about it. They live in misery or, at the very least, a non satisfied life, which is sad. I know it can be a very scary venture, especially when you have deep roots in the town you were born in, but sometimes the right move can be a game-changer for your life. Case in point, when I moved to Bismarck nearly 7 years ago from Grand Forks. It was the best thing I ever did for myself and my family.

#176 - Fargo

North Dakota's largest city is the lowest-ranked North Dakota city in this survey. It has a little too much crime for my liking, and not to mention traffic, but it still scored pretty well when it comes to the rest of America.

#157 - Minot

The Magic City scored pretty well in this survey, just missing the top 150 cities in the country. Home to Minot State University and the North Dakota State Fair.
