New Year’s Eve Possum Drop Could Be Outlawed!
Apparently, dropping possums is a thing! I have to apologize for my case of the giggles this morning, but who knew that this was actually real and I couldn't stop laughing. First of all, who would think of dropping a possum on New Year's Eve rather than dropping a ball? Second, who would feel the need to advocate for possum's rights? Apparently people in North Carolina have WAY too much time on their hands...You Might Be A Redneck! At least they provided us with another edition of DON'T BE THAT GUY:
New Year's Eve Possum Drop Could Be Outlawed: The Star Tribune claims Animal Help Now wants to prevent cities from dropping possums on New Year's Eve. Brasstown, North Carolina dropped a possum in 2018. Animal Help Now wants the state of North Carolina to pass a law that will prevent possums from being dropped on December 31st.
Just think of all of the roadkill that could be saved if there were laws passed to protect possums, raccoons and squirrels.
