Mother’s Day Snow and Rain Could Be a Mess But Will Help Farmers [VIDEO]

Happy Mother's Day! It feels like a football game should be on TV with this weather. Rain, sleet and snow is mixed all over the state. Could be bad for Mother's Day, it is definitely good for farmers.

You can see from the video shot Sunday morning, the flakes were big and was mixed with rain and sleet. NDDOT issued a travel advisory so to say Mom's day is a mess, is an understatement.

This moisture will help farmers though. Planting season is underway and many farmers were concerned about the dry soil, because of a lack of snow and moisture in the winter.

Many farmers were doing their happy dance from the rain this past week.

Moisture totals from Wednesday through Friday ranged from around three-quarters of an inch in Bismarck, to three-and-a-quarter inches of rain in Hanover
