I think we've all pretty much had enough of winter. The good news is I DON'T see snow in the forecast this week. That's not to say it won't happen next week because you never know; it's North Dakota.

I DO see snow coming, but it's the good kind.

The Return Of The Snow Shack

Rejoice signs of spring and summer are finally here. Sure, we still have a couple of those disgusting snow mounds lingering in our parking lots, but we have grass and sun.

Now we have this: Mo's Snow Shack is open at its south location today (Monday, May 1st). Yep, it's opening day for the shack. They are open until 8 pm at their south location.

As far as I can tell, the north location is not open yet. They may plan to open it on Memorial Day, later this month (May 30th) as they did last year, but that is unconfirmed at this time.

Where To Find Them All Summer

Every summer, you can find Mo's Snow Shack in the north Dan's parking lot, and in south Bismarck, off of Washington Street (near El Coqui Bakery and Runnings).

Prepare to paint your mouth blue or red and gorge yourself on icy goodness.

A Family Business

You know what I love about this business is it's locally owned.

The Thuesons are now on their 6th year running the shack. You will notice the whole family works the snow stand. How cool is that?!

What's Next?

First, it's the snow shacks, then it's the little downtown Dairy Queen, then it's the pools; we're getting there!
